We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at a facility in Guelph, ON. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe manufacturing environment by meticulously sanitizing equipment and processing areas. This position offers a steady schedule from 12PM to 9PM, paying $18/hr.

Responsibilities

• Operate standard industrial cleaning equipment to sanitize floors, walls, and machinery.
• Handle designated sanitation chemicals safely while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Perform routine site inspections to spot areas needing attention and report faulty equipment.
• Remove waste and recyclables from processing and production areas promptly.
• Maintain accurate and clear logs of all daily cleaning activities to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Physical capability to stand, operate sanitation machinery, and safely handle approved chemicals throughout your scheduled hours.
• A keen eye for detail with the ability to maintain accurate cleaning logs and strictly follow food safety guidelines.
• Strict compliance with facility dress policies: long pants are absolutely mandatory, hoodies are prohibited, and all jewelry must be removed prior to entry.
• Prior experience in industrial cleaning, sanitation, or food production is highly preferred.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety quality standards like HACCP or SQF is a strong asset.
