In this active, outdoor role, you will play a vital part in community upkeep by assisting with manual waste collection. Working directly alongside an experienced truck driver, you will help service local routes efficiently and safely. Responsibilities

• Assist the truck driver with manual waste collection along designated residential or commercial routes.
• Safely and efficiently load bins, bags, and loose materials into the back or side of the collection truck.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all work areas while adhering to strict environmental guidelines.
• Follow all safety protocols diligently, remaining alert to your surroundings and reporting any hazards or incidents immediately.
• Collaborate closely with your team members to complete the daily collection route on time and to a high standard.

Requirements

• Availability to work Tuesday through Friday, starting at 6:30 AM until the collection route is fully completed.
• Physical capability to regularly lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable walking, standing, and engaging in demanding physical labor for the entire duration of your scheduled hours.
• Must own and wear CSA-approved safety boots featuring a green triangle.
• Previous experience working as a loader, general labourer, or in waste management is considered a strong asset.
