Spotwork is currently connecting dedicated workers with an excellent opportunity for a Forklift Operator in Grand Prairie, Texas. In this role, you will play a vital part in warehouse operations by securely loading and unloading railcars and trucks filled with bagged sugar. If you enjoy maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment while managing inventory for various customers, this is the perfect position for you.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound boxcars and trucks, carefully storing bagged sugar to meet customer inventory needs.
• Prepare, clean, and inspect outbound railcars and trucks, ensuring they are properly sealed and documented before departure.
• Transfer product to bulk trucks utilizing gravity hoppers and ensure all paperwork is accurately processed.
• Maintain a highly safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols, removing deployed derailers, and securely shutting doors on inbound railcars.
• Uphold AIB and SQF standards while assisting in the sanitation and overall cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding grounds.

Requirements

• Proven ability to operate a forklift safely while managing heavy loads and maintaining proper inventory control.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written safety and environmental policies.
• Exceptional attention to detail for handling proper documentation on all orders and accurately filling out paperwork.
• Willingness to perform general warehouse duties, including sanitation, facility upkeep, and heavy lifting as required.
• Dedication to following stringent safety rules, including the effective use of all safety devices and equipment.
