Spotwork is seeking an enthusiastic Compost Crew member to help drive zero-waste and sustainability efforts at major events in Austin, Texas. As a crucial part of the on-the-ground team, you will ensure that composting streams remain clean, efficient, and properly managed throughout the venue. Responsibilities

• Position, maintain, and swap out compost bins and liners strategically across the event grounds.
• Transport collected compost materials safely to designated dumpsters or offloading areas using carts.
• Guide and educate kitchen staff and vendors on correct composting practices to minimize waste contamination.
• Monitor waste stations proactively, identifying and removing non-compostable items from the organic waste stream.
• Maintain a clean, highly organized, and accessible compost collection area at all times.
• Collaborate with the broader event operations team to ensure smooth and efficient waste diversion.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license and the willingness to safely operate a golf cart on event grounds.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including the capacity to lift, carry, and haul up to 50 pounds.
